Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
What a perfect way to start a day for my girlfriend and I with the legendary cuisines served at the Green Street Restaurant. There is no denying that after years of existence and prosperous business relationship with actual residents of Pasadena, we were lucky to have a taste of what they are so famous for. We found this place at 146 South Shopper’s Lane and just like that, we were in breakfast heaven. For not more than $10, we enjoyed a hearty serving of Charlie’s breakfast and an enticing Original Joe’s Special. More delectable dishes were part of the menu so I am not going to be surprised if we will be back here in no time. |
Lunch |
We found ourselves having a bountiful lunch with the romantic feel of Mi Piace 1 Pasadena Italian Kitchen and Bakery. True to its name, its delectable Italian menu is just the kind of lunch perfect with your loved one. We found this gem at 25 East Colorado Boulevard, and boy did we ever stop taking pleasure from every bite of our late lunch. I ordered the Calamari Fritt and I just got so fascinated by how the taste of lime juice tickles your mouth with every bite. My girlfriend on the other hand gave herself a treat with the mouthwatering plate of Ravioli Della Casa. |
Dinner |
For a romantic dinner getaway, I took my girl at Celestino Ristorante at Salt Lake Avenue. It felt awesome getting served with a plate of Italian traditional meals right in our weekend travel to Pasadena. That Risotto Nero di Seppia is an attraction on its own. While eating some Lasagna alla Bolognese feels so authentic, I'm pretty sure I went back to the hotel room still tasting that meal. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
After that gorgeous breakfast, we drove to North Los Robles Avenue to pay an exciting visit to the Pacific Asia Museum where we enjoyed the sight of bits and parcel of history with some of the students taking their tour. We just loved seeing the artifacts from various galleries housed in this building. Personally, I am astounded by the gallery of Chinese Art. |
Afternoon |
After finishing a full lunch we decided to take some visit to Zephyr Coffee House and Art Gallery, still in the East Colorado Boulevard area. One word to describe it: cozy. There’s nothing you would enjoy more than to experience art and some quiet time with your loved one. |
Evening |
We were just in time to enjoy some soothing jazz live performance over at Red White + Bluezz. I drove my girlfriend to South Raymond Avenue to relish some romantic time with a nice crowd all enchanted by the comforting jazz music played. There’s so much things to do in Pasadena and I am sure, this one was one of the best choices I have made. |
