My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| I always travel for business into Los Angeles. I ended up having to stay for a weekend and decided to stay in nearby Pasadena and explore what everyone always talks about. I was by myself and didn't know anyone so I did some research and ended up staying at Old Pasadena Courtyard by Marriott. I found this to be the best choice since it was centrally located and had many things to do within walking distance. I am very pleased with the service and rooms at the Courtyard. They offered much activity planning advice and were extremely friendly. I spent quite a bit of time in Old Town. Everything you could possibly want or need, can be found in Old Town Pasadena. There are miles of specialty stores. Food is unbelievable and entertainment is always happening every night of the week. I was told by many people to visit the Gamble House and I did one afternoon. This House is very rich with architecture and decor. I really enjoyed walking through the house and admiring the work and time that took to not only build this landmark, but also finish it with such great detail. It was a relaxing experience. When it came to dining I was lucky to come across some great restaurants. E's wine bar and restaurant was the most enjoyable experience for me. I was able to not only have a great dinner but also had the chance to talk to some very interesting people. On Saturday night it was pretty busy. If you are traveling with a large group of people I'd recommend making reservations. |
